My journalist friend Fay Kennews has uncovered a story the insurance companies don't want you to know. Local councils are working with insurance companies to measure the depth and diameter of potholes claimed to have caused damage to cars and bicycles. With the rise in e-bike's use more people are claiming for injuries caused by poor roads. An ex-employee for one local authority told Miss Kennews " the council are fed up with potential lawsuits by road users for damages caused whilst using ( our) roads. This way they ( implying the council ) can measure the holes and determine if a claim is warranted".  A knock-on effect of this action means non-detrimental holes won't be filled in. Furthermore, the claimants' insurance company doesn't have to payout.

Various council headquarters have been contacted via email but as of today, none have responded.

I urge anybody that spots one of these "measuring people" to contact their local councillor and demand action be taken to stop this heinous act.

I would just like to Thank you for the fantastic service that I received from your company. As you know I had an issue with my digital meter, I had a phone call from Ben at Cyclotricity the same day and this morning a new replacement had arrived.
This is fantastic service, I am so pleased that I purchased my bike through Cyclotricity. I will log onto your website and write a customer review and I am thinking in the summertime I may even purchase a electric bike for my wife, if and when I do I will certainly buy it through Cyclotricity.

Normally people write in to complain but I feel that it's nice to tell people that they are doing things right.
