Compatibility

Will it fit my bike?

Here's how to know in under a minute.

01

Bottom Bracket Shell Width

See the cylinder your cranks run through — right in the middle of the frame? That's your bottom bracket shell. The mid-drive motor bolts directly onto it, replacing the existing bottom bracket. It has to be either: 68mm or 73mm shell width. That's it. And it's exactly what the vast majority of bikes run.

68mm or 73mm shell width — you're golden.

How to check: measure the outside width of the BB shell (the chunky cylinder where the cranks pass through the frame). Most road and hybrid bikes are 68mm; many MTBs and older bikes are 73mm. Some frames have it stamped right there.

One minor footnote — your front derailleur

Running a triple chainset (3 gears on the front)? The mid-drive replaces the front chainring — so you'll go from 3 × N gears to 1 × N. The front derailleur comes off. The front shifter comes off. Your bike gets cleaner and lighter. And honestly — who needs front gears when you've got a motor doing the heavy lifting?

FAQ

We've Got
Answers.

The motor assists up to 15.5mph, faster if you pedal along.

Depends on battery size, your weight, terrain, and assist level. On the lowest PAS setting, the 698Wh battery has achieved over 100 miles between charges (yes, really — see our reviews). On level 2–3 expect around 60 miles. On higher settings, closer to 25–35 miles. Use this as your baseline to work out what to expect from the smaller batteries.

Up to 1,000 full charge cycles with proper care. Charge it regularly, don't leave it fully discharged for long periods, and store it somewhere dry. Treat it right and it'll last years.

Yes. All rack and frame batteries are fully removable. Unclip it, take it indoors, plug it in. No need to drag your bike to the socket.

Rear derailleur stays. If your bike has a front derailleur, it has to come off to make room. But honestly? Who needs a front derailleur when you have motor power!

Yes. Fitted correctly, the whole system is water resistant. Ride in any weather. Just don't blast it with a pressure washer.

Yes. The mid-drive sits at the crank — exactly where a normal bike's power comes from. Switch it off and it just feels like riding a bike. Because it is one.

12 months from date of delivery for the original owner. Motor, display, battery — all covered.

30-day returns. Send it back in original condition and we'll refund you in full. No drama. Return shipping is at your cost.
